Privacy Policies tend to be full of legal-speak and weasel clauses that attempt to protect suppliers from all kinds of legal action. We hate them, and for now at least actively work to avoid having such a beast. We hope it is understood that we do respect your privacy, we strive to keep your personal information confidential, and we don’t like spam.
Our approach to privacy is simple; we DO record certain pieces of information about you (name, email address, phone number etc.) and we NEVER sell your information to 3rd parties. Any legally valid requests for information (e.g. from police or government agencies) will of course require us to release certain information. We take reasonable steps to ensure that your details are secure, this includes the use of 3rd party payment processing to avoid the need to store financially sensitive infomation (such as credit card details) on our servers.
We use your infomation primarily to know who our customers are, and to communicate with them in regard to issues relating to and relevant to their use of the service, we do NOT however use the information for the purposes of sending Spam. Any periodic emails such as a newsletter include clear instructions on how you may unsubscribe from those emails.
It is hoped that this simple, “common sense” policy will prove adequate to both enable understanding, and to assure clients of the privacy of their data. We may make changes to this policy from time to time.
